Internet and Cell Service Options

I do not offer wifi service, because the campsite is in a river valley and there is NO SIGNAL there.

However, if you are staying for a while and need to communicate through internet or telephone there are three options:

Two hundred yards up the road, a short walk, there is good signal to the Costa Rican networks:

Option 1 -   Bring your current cell phone, and call your telephone service provider before you come to see if they provide roaming in Costa Rica. This is the easiest and most convenient, but more expensive than regular service.

Option 2 -   Buy a prepaid phone line in Costa Rica when you arrive for about $5.  I use Movistar. You might have to buy a smart phone here in Costa Rica if the sim card is not compatible with your phone. A cell phone would cost about $150 to $200. Make sure it has a wifi hot spot if you want to connect your computer to the internet.

Option 3 - I have a couple of older Prepay cell phones that you may rent for $1/day

In all cases, you still have to walk or drive two hundred yards

to where there is signal.
